Effective: July 7, 2026
When you analyze a product, the label photo and/or the text you enter are sent to our server and forwarded to an AI provider (OpenAI) to produce the analysis. Photos are processed in memory and are never stored. Anonymous fingerprints of ingredient text (normalized word lists) and analysis results are stored per product, not per person, so the app can recognize products that were already scanned and share community reviews; they are not linked to your identity. Scan results and history are stored only on your device.
If you sign in with Google, we store your Google account identifier, display name and email address, together with your points, level, scan-count statistics and the reviews you post. We do not store passwords.
Reviews you post (rating, text, display name, level) are public and visible to all PureLabel users.
You can delete your account and all associated data (profile, statistics, and your reviews) at any time from the app (Profile → Delete account) or on the account deletion page.
No advertising, no sale of data, no tracking SDKs. Requests are rate-limited by IP address for abuse protection; IP addresses are not stored.
PureLabel provides informational label guidance only. It is not medical or dietary advice and is not a medical device.
